Lovingly restored since 2023. Step inside, stay and discover the charm of a century-old home
Step into a piece of East Texas history
The Jeter Farmhouse — a stunning home built in 1903 by Leonidas and Anna Bell Jeter, and lovingly preserved for over 120 years. There are two separate Suites inside the main home, the Anna Bell Suite and the Leonidas Suite. There is also an option to rent the entire home giving you access to both. Each suite in the home is named in honor of the original builders, a small tribute to the couple who started it all. When you stay here, you're not just booking a room. You're sleeping where the Jeter family lived, loved, and built a life.
The moment you arrive you're greeted by a grand entry hall crowned by a stunning chandelier that sets the tone for everything inside. Browse the renovation photos and Jeter family history displayed throughout the entry and stop by the information table to pick up local business cards, brochures, and upcoming event listings. Be sure to grab a Gladewater map before heading out — you'll want it.
Relax and enjoy the space full of history with all the modern amenities to make your stay comfortable.
End your evenings the right way — rocking on the grand front porch, watching the quiet rhythm of downtown Gladewater roll by from atop the original red brick streets that have lined this neighborhood for over a century.
One more piece of living history — the train has rumbled through downtown Gladewater daily for over 150 years, running on no set schedule, just as it always has. It's a beloved reminder of the town's roots, though light sleepers should be aware. We've provided noise-canceling sound machines in each bedroom for a restful night's sleep.
